Driving Directions to Start:


From Ellensburg, Seattle, Spokane and other points north: From I-90 take Exit 109 Hwy 821 (Canyon Road) south into the Yakima River Canyon. 
Umtanum Recreation Area is on the right, located at milepost 16, twelve miles south of Ellensburg.


From Yakima, Tri-cities, Portland and other points south: From Yakima take Hwy 12 west to I-82 W. Take exit 26 Hwy 821(Canyon Rd.) north. Follow Hwy 821 for 16.9 miles. Umatanum Recreation Area will be on your left. 
From Umtanum Recreation Site to Buffalo Rd. Aid Station: 
(for 50k only)

Head South on Canyon Rd. for 15.7 miles
Turn Right onto Harrison Rd (HWY 823) and go 1.9 miles
At Stop Sign Turn Right onto N. Wenas Rd. and go 2.8 miles
Turn Right onto Gibson Rd. and go 0.2 miles
Turn Right onto Buffalo Rd. and follow 2.0 miles to a where the road makes a 90 degree turn to the Left, crosses a cattle guard and enters the fenced in area that you’ve been driving next to. This is the start of the 25k.
Continue following this road 0.7 miles to the a large pull-off on the right hand side park here.
Walk 0.1 mile further down the road to the trailhead(on the Left) this is the Aid Station location.
